For business, everyone wants a MacBook and an iPhone.

Apple’s MacBook line isn’t certain to be among the best laptops available right now. Apple has spent years perfecting the machines, and the M1 Pro and M1 Max have forever transformed the processing game.

Workers appear to agree, as a survey performed by Apple device management provider Kandji found that a third of UK employees are more willing to take a job that includes an Apple product.

Surprisingly, Gen Z employees account for 49 percent of the workforce.

The Apple Imperative
“For employers, working from anywhere is a new reality,” said Kandji CEO Adam Pettit. “It’s unsurprising that this transition has resulted in a higher uptake of Apple products in the workplace, thanks in part to increased confidence in their security features.” Faced with the Great Resignation, firms must provide a wider range of work equipment to their employees in order to attract the next generation of talent.”

IT managers are feeling the heat as well, with 73% reporting an increase in employee requests for Apple products and 49% stating Apple is the most in-demand brand.

Employers rarely provide such benefits to employees, particularly Generation Z: Only 19% of UK businesses provide macOS and iOS devices as a choice.

The idea of utilizing an Apple iPhone for professional work was mocked a decade ago. MacBooks were, for the most part, overpriced gimmicks that lacked the software support required for many vocations.

That has all changed in 2022. Apple is riding high on the popularity of its sleek, speedy devices, and the company’s software has caught up, even as it moves toward its own processor architecture.

Microsoft, for example, has spent a significant amount of time making its Office 365 suite compatible with macOS, iOS, and iPadOS, knowing that it must go where employees are rather than expecting them to come to PCs.
