Within its virtual reality spaces worlds horizon Y horizon locations, Meta has added a new ‘personal limit’ option. By default, a user’s avatar and others are separated by nearly 4 feet when they create a personal boundary.
When other avatars hit the limit, the system will halt their advance through an unseen barrier. The tool, according to Meta, will make it easier for users to avoid undesirable encounters like bullying.
With personal limitations set, users can still walk past other avatars and even high-five or fist bump them. The feature will be enabled by default and will “help establish norms of behavior” in the virtual reality realm, according to Meta.
The corporation may introduce further controls in the future, such as allowing customers to adjust the size of their own limitations.
Twitter has unveiled a global downvote button, according to other tech news.
